This generic Christmas message was sent from a mortgage broker we used a few years ago.
The main problem with it is that the broker never keeps in touch, and then sends this sort of message that doesn’t even include her name. Leaving me (as the client) to guess it was from her. There was no covering letter. No identification.
I think the inclusion of personal snippets is also inappropriate in this situation. They sound more like an entry from her Facebook page than what you would expect from someone you hardly ever hear from.
Be authentic in your communications
If you only contact clients once a year don’t pretend you are their best friend.
Ideally stay in touch with clients on a regular basis, then you can send friendly, chatty Christmas messages that don’t appear insincere.
